Do you have a recipe you would like to share with our readers?
Sure, this is our Signature Dish:
High Pointe Inn French Toast
- 3 Eggs
- 2 Tbsp cream
- 1/4 Tsp vanilla
- 1/2 Tsp Captain Morgan spiced rum
- 1 cup corn flakes, crushed
- 4 slices “Texas Toast” or regular bread
- Ground cinnamon
Combine first four ingredients in a bowl and whisk until blended.
Dredge bread in egg mixture, then coat with crushed corn flakes.
Place on medium (350 – 360 degree) griddle, or skillet, which has been liberally buttered. Sprinkle lightly with cinnamon and cook for approx. 3 minutes. When first side is golden brown, turn, and cook for another 2 – 3 minutes.
Dust with powdered sugar. Serve immediately with real maple syrup.
